About us

We are proud to introduce “Tik Olimpija” – the first golden retrievers’ kennel in Telšiai, capital of Samogitia. We, Inga, Urtė and Alfredas, live with two golden retriever bitches Ota and Boni.
Golden retriever was our dream for a long time and it came true. After studying the standard of the breed, line, display, bringing up and training peculiarities we started searching for a whelp. After half a year we received a phone call from the kennel “Herkus” and finally an appropriate bitch was waiting for us. Soon a little downy ball was following us everywhere in the house. Starting from the first day this golden retriever bitch became the member of our family and a loyal best friend to our little daughter. Our house was filled with happy moments, adventures and energy. All this makes us very happy. Ota, as we call “the good home spirit” amazed us by her features of character as loveliness, friendliness, affection and loyalty.
As we fell in love with golden retrievers we saw a notice on the Internet – a golden retriever was given as a present otherwise it would be sent to sleep. Without much thinking we took her home, too. So Boni has come to our family. This bitch joined the Urtė and Ota’s games quickly and made us happy with her endless energy, loveliness and joy of life.
After some time we decided to establish the kennel of golden retrievers titled “Tik Olimpija”. This title originated from our family’s hobby, several accidents and it was chosen in the honour of our first golden retriever Ota. All our family is fond of sport – we are the teachers of Physical Education and the great sport fans. Actually sport originated from Olympia. What is more, Ota was born in the Olympic year and this fact helped us to find her a suitable name. So we had no doubts about the title of our kennel.
Kennel “Tik Olimpija” is registered at the World Canine Organisation Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI), FCI No. 40/10, the Lithuanian Cynological Society (LKD) and the Lithuanian Retrievers Lovers Club (LRMK).
